Symptoms
You see "reconfigure virtual machine" in the vCenter Server task for VDI virtual machines repeatedly. You see entries similar to the below within your Horizon Server Logs
Location of Horizon (VDM) log files (1027744)
<VirtualCenterDriver-52ad3f63-3327-4d06-8407-10d807d87350> [VirtualCenterDriver] For VM: <VM Info> running on ESX: host-65 ScreenDMA extra config option value: null
Cause
This issue occurs due to the Screen DMA value being set as NULL.The value should be set to True for the VM. This causes the reconfigure VM task to be triggered as it attempts to set the value.
Resolution
Perform an environment review to look for misconfiguration issues, such as version mismatches and insufficient permissions on the vCenter service account registered with Horizon. For details, please see Privileges Required for the vCenter Server User .If no obvious issues are seen, power off the VM and use the steps in the Resolution field to resolve the issue.
Workaround
We need to manually enable screen DMA on the parent virtual machine. To enable Screen DMA for a virtual machine, see Manually enabling screen DMA in a virtual machine (2144475).
