This article documents the process of migrating a Veeam Backup & Replication deployment from utilizing a Socket-based license to a Veeam Universal License (VUL) to unlock the full capability that VUL licensing provides.
If the Veeam Backup & Replication deployment is managed by Veeam Backup Enterprise Manager, you'll need to first install the instance-based license in Veeam Backup Enterprise Manager, and then remove the socket-based license.
