Challenge
Log truncation or indexing for the guest fails with one of the following errors:
Failed to inventory guest system: BlobCall: Undefined function id: '9'
Unable to truncate transaction logs. Details: BlobCall: Undefined function id: '18'
Failed to collect Oracle info BlobCall: Undefined function id: 48
Cause
The VeeamVssSupport service did not get removed from the guest VM when the backup was completed.
Solution
To resolve, log on to the guest VM in question and perform the following steps:
Open services.msc, then stop and disable the VeeamVssSupport service
Open an elevated command prompt and type the following:
sc delete VeeamVssSupport
3. Delete the folder C:\Windows\VeeamVSSSupport on the guest
4. Rerun the Veeam Backup/Replication Job
