During replication jobs, Veeam ONE triggers the VM MAC address conflict and VM instance UUID conflict alarms.
These alarms occur when Veeam ONE detects the following events within the vSphere Environment: VmStaticMacConflictEvent VmMacConflictEvent VmInstanceUuidConflictEvent These events occur for a replica created by Veeam Backup & Replication because the replica acquires the same MAC address and UUID as the original VM. This situation is normal because a newly created replica is an absolute copy of the original VM with exactly the same properties. After a short time, vSphere should change the replica’s MAC address and UUID.
This behavior is by design. However, if you do not want to receive the alarms, disable the VM MAC address conflict and VM instance UUID conflict alarms, or create alarm-level exclusions for source VMs or the target location.
