The linux-firmware package has been split into subpackages. This means that the template cleanup commands may not be referencing the correct package to do removals from, resulting in a larger than needed boot.iso The generic templates in lorax 40.5.4 has the changes that were imported from Fedora, check the rhel templates against it.
