The earliest recollection of this bug is traced back to PAN-OS 8.1.2 - January 09, 2024. This bug is fixed in PAN-OS versions 8.1.2. ( VM-50 Lite firewalls only ) Fixed an intermittent issue where Failed to back up PAN-DB errors were reported in the system log due to management plane out-of-memory errors when a process ( devsrvr ) attempted to run an md5 checksum.
