Symptoms
When exporting or importing an APM policy, you get an error:
Export error: tmsh list net dns-resolver Common/my dns resolver has returned 01020036:3: The requested DNS Resolver (Common/my) was not found.
Impact
Import or export fails. Cannot import or export policies with objects name with other characters.
Conditions
This occurs when importing a policy containing objects whose name does not follow these naming requirements:
-- Cannot contain a space.
-- Must consist of a mix of:
* Uppercase or lowercase alpha characters A through Z. (Required as the name's initial character.)
* Numbers 0 through 9.
* Underscore (_).
* Hyphen/minus (-).
* Period/dot (.).
Workaround
To work around this:
1. Rename all objects to meet the requirements in bigip.conf.
2. Save the config:
tmsh load sys config
