Symptoms
FTP mirroring in an environment with asymmetrical routing on the clientside may fail to forward data connection traffic or correctly mirror the traffic to the peer unit.
Impact
-- Passive data connection SYN is be forwarded.
-- Mirroring of the data connection does not complete successfully.
Conditions
With the following setup:
- Asymmetric routing setup on the clientside.
- The following db keys are disabled:
+ connection.autolasthop
+ connection.vlankeyed
- Virtual server with FTP profile (inherit profile disabled).
- Mirroring enabled.
Workaround
Set a specific route to the client IP address to override asymmetric routing.
