Description

Symptoms

The BIG-IP GUI incorrectly requires an OID to be specified when creating an SNMPv3 user.

Impact

An OID can be used to restrict the view that the user has to a particular branch of the tree, but should not be a required attribute.

Conditions

Creating an SNMPv3 user via the BIG-IP GUI.

Workaround

- Enter a value of ".1" (with a leading dot) to allow access to all OIDs (or) - Create the user using tmsh instead of the GUI, where the oid-subset attribute is not mandatory.
