Symptoms
Inet port exhaustion error messages and LSN failures even though there are available ports in the port range, if the allowed port range (max - min) is small.
Impact
client connection attempts may fail, then succeed on a retry.
Conditions
A virtual server configured with source-address-translation type LSN and
- The range of allowed port numbers is small
- The number of translation addresses in the pool is small.
Workaround
Expand the range of allowed ports to use for port translation and/or increase the number of translation addresses in the pool.
Fix Information
Improved search for an available port when the allowed port range is small.
