Symptoms
Creating or editing SMTP server settings in Configuration utility "System
âºâº
Configuration : Device : SMTP" tab is not instantly saved to a configuration file and not preserved across restarts. However, deleting an entry is reflected in the configuration file but also causes saving all the remaining entries.
Impact
SMTP server settings may be lost upon system restart.
Conditions
-- SMTP server entry is created or edited in the Configuration utility's "System
âºâº
Configuration : Device : SMTP" tab.
-- No other settings in the configuration utility are are changes.
-- No configuration configuration is saved with TMSH.
Workaround
Perform any of the following:
-- Manually save current configuration with a TMSH command (tmsh save sys config)
-- Change any other setting in the Configuration utility
-- Create and delete temporary STMP server entry to force saving current settings of all the other SMTP servers.
