Symptoms

This event triggers an alarm on the vSphere Client page. Dial home event is sent if Secure Connect Gateway (SCG) is connected.

Cause

The self-heal process of the memory in the DIMM installed in the slot identified in the message below cannot be completed because of internal issues.Unable to complete the self-heal process of the memory in the DIMM installed in because of internal issues.

Resolution

Follow these steps to troubleshoot and act accordingly: Open the iDRAC view of the device, go to Maintenance -> System Event Log, verify that there is indeed an event related to DIMM Unable to complete the self-heal process of the memory in the DIMM installed in because of internal issues. Double confirm that the DIMM slot No reported in event log from System - > Overview -> Memory -> Individual Memory detailsUse the Solve procedure to replace the problematic DIMM at the next service windowAfter replacement, open iDRAC to verify the new DIMM is detected and showing green, mark the error as green on VxRail Manager/VSphere UIIf after the troubleshooting steps above, the issue is still present, contact Dell EMC Technical Support or your Authorized Service Representative, and quote this Dell Knowledge Base article ID.
