When launching webtools, a webpage appears with error message such as: "The version of Java plugin needed to run the application is not installed."The user is redirected to download the latest version of Java. This occurs even when the latest version of java is installed.
The Web browser will perform java check to see if latest update is installed. This prompts the Java upgrade that may not be compatible with Java on the switch.
From the browser, use the following syntax to bypass the Java version check when launching webtools. http://<switchip>/switchExplorer_installed.html This can be used as a workaround until the FOS is upgraded, and the Java is matched to FOS's specifications. Please review FOS Release notes for recommendations regarding FOS/Java compatibility.
