Daemon_options file had parameter settings that were not required for this environment, causing the stp daemon to shutdown.In this case these parameters were set to: DMN_RUN_TTP = enableDMN_SYMMIDs = zzzzzzzzz,yyyyyyyyyTTP_RETENTION_DAYS = 7TTP_COLLECTION_INTERVAL = 5TTP_ARCHIVE_TIME = 00:00TTP_ARCHIVE_INTERVAL = 1 These settings are no longer supported in Unisphere for VMAX 8.X.
To address this issue:Check the dameon_options file for any parameter settings that may be preventing the STP daemon from running. The location of the file is: UNIX: api/config//var/sym WINDOWS: C:\Program Files\EMC\symapi|config
