Symptoms
Dell 14G Series node reports one of the two M2 disks in RAID connected to BOSS-S1 card showing as failed. BOSS-S1 firmware incorrectly marking M.2 drive offline/failed
Cause
Check which BOSS S1 Card firmware version is installed If older than 2.5.13.3016. Apply the update to the BIOS.

Resolution
Update firmware to the latest code Install Instructions.Reboot the node, this should fix the issue (the node reboot without firmware update alone could trigger the rebuild of the failed SSD, but updating is highly recommended. If the firmware upgrade does not resolve the issue. Open up a case with Customer support or using the Support web portal.
