Symptoms

The network link cannot be established when connecting the Intel interface with the M14MK or Y6RM0 transceiver to a 10 Gbps switch. The network interface remains down even when administratively enabled on Switch and Data Domain.

Cause

This is a known issue in the Data Domain Operating System (DDOS) TCP layer.

Resolution

For DDOS 8.3 and newer, the net config command-line utility may be used to change the speed configuration. To set the interface to full duplex: net config <iface> speed <speedvalue> duplex fullTo set the interface to auto negotiate: net config <iface> autoneg For previous DDOS versions, contact Dell Support to set the speed configuration.
