Symptoms
A Bluetooth microphone is muted, but Microsoft Teams show it unmuted. This happens if the microphone was muted with a hardware button or the microphone arm turned upwards on the headset itself.
The same problem may also appear with other conferencing or softphone applications.
Using a headset with a USB cable or using a delivered USB dongle to connect it does not show this behavior.
Cause
Intel Smart Sound Technology (SST) does not handle mute for Bluetooth capture correctly.

Realtek HD Audio Driver
Install the latest driver for the affected systems listed below:
