Symptoms
The File Level Recovery (FLR) browse window fails to open after the successful mount of the disks to the target server has completed. The error seen in the NMC Recovery window is:
"Error while browsing. 100: ... "Could not get directory contents"
FLR Agent log file on the target server shows either of the following messages:
C:\Program Files (x86)\EMC\vProxy FLR Agent\logs\vflragentd\vflragentd-agent.log
YYYY-MM-DD-11T14:53:10-04:00 ERROR: AppAgent #7: FLR Agent command error: exec: "C:\
Program Files (x86)\\EMC
vProxy FLR Agent\\bin
vexec.exe": file does not exist
Or
YYYY-MM-DD-T13:01:13-04:00 TRACE: AppAgent #8: ERROR: [-\{vexec}-] Unable to create process for command 'C:\Program Files (x86)\EMC\vProxy FLR Agent\bin\vflrbrowse.exe': The system cannot find the file specified.
Cause
An anti-virus client installed on the FLR target system quarantines one or more of the FLR Agent files when they are run.
Resolution
To address this issue:
Set an exclusion in the anti-virus client installed on the target VM for the FLR Agent folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\EMC\vProxy FLR Agent\bin) to prevent the binaries from being quarantined when run during the FLR process.Manually uninstall the FLR agent from the target VM server from the Windows Settings > Apps Application.Run a new FLR instance to reinstall the FLR agent. If the exclusion is set correctly, the FLR browse window should now appear.
