Data Domain: Interfaces are not compatible for bondingLink Aggregation failing for eth13 and eth5aeth3 and eth10 are QLogic cards and eth5 and eth13 are Intel cards.eth3a,eth3c,eth10a,eth10c (qLoginc 10GbE NICs) were already in the bond veth0, when the customer tried to add eth13a and eth5a (Intel 10GbE NICs) to veth0.We do not support mixed vender bonding with LTS 7.7.4. Bonded interface configuration guidelines ...Bonded interfaces must be created from identical physical interfaces. For example, all copper, all optical, all 1 Gb, or all 10 Gb. However, 1 Gb interfaces support bonding a mix of copper and optical interfaces. This applies to bonded interfaces across different cards with identical physical interfaces.
Hence we do not support mixed vendor bonding with LTS 7.7.4. It is supported in DDOS 7.12. https://dl.dell.com/content/manual64332191-ddos-7-12-administration-guide.pdf?language=en-us NOTE: In DDOS 7.12 and higher, the system no longer checks the NIC vendor when adding interfaces from multiple NIC cards to a bonded interface.
