Symptoms
As part of the disk firmware upgrade, the PUHC checks if the cluster has a Samsung PM1643/PM1643a SAS drive with the firmware port locked.If a drive with a locked firmware port is detected, the following message is displayed "Found Samsung SAS drives with firmware port locked. Cause
The Samsung SAS drive PM1643 and PM1643A SAS TCG Enterprise SEDs were shipped with firmware port locked from manufacturing, and, as a result, the drive firmware upgrade for these drives may fail. Dell Support can resolve this issue if a locked firmware port is detected.
