Symptoms
Users running Storage Center Operating System (SCOS) versions 7.3.0 and earlier must update to a newer version to avoid the loss of SupportAssist. These systems can no longer send SupportAssist from both SCOS and the Dell Storage Manager (DSM) applications. Systems with an active service contract still receive support through Dell Services, however the time to resolution may take longer due to the SupportAssist tools no longer being available for these systems.Only users with a valid ProSupport entitlement are eligible for the SCOS upgrade. If entitlements show expired, you must work with your sales team to renew.
Cause
Systems running Storage Center 7.3.0 and earlier must upgrade to SCOS version 7.3.1 or later along with the corresponding DSM version in order to allow the connection to SupportAssist from the Storage Center and Dell Storage Manager. The latest versions of software at the time of this root certificate update are SCOS 7.5.2 and DSM 20R1.
Resolution
Update Dell Compellent system to SCOS version later than 7.3.0
