Symptoms
The Validation step will fail with the error "Failed to resolve vCenter hostname" and ICW cannot complete if the IPv6 management network is used with PowerStore X model clusters and vCenter is configured using FQDN during ICW, .
Cause
Current vCenter validation implementation uses incorrect parameters to resolve the FQDN resulting in failure to resolve the record to an IPv6 address. This leads to the failure to deploy the system with IPv6 management stack and vCenter registered by FQDN.
Resolution
When using IPv6 management network with PowerStore X model clusters, vCenter should be configured using the IPv6 address instead of the FQDN.
