Sometimes the 'mismatch' column on the firmware listing for the HD400's CDES2 component shows 'N/A' and the firmware fails to update to latest when a node firmware update is run, similar to the following:PMC8056 CDES2 2.13.0+0.11.0+21.00 2.38.5+0.18.0+21.00 N/A 49-57This output clearly shows that the running CDES2 firmware version is 2.13.0, the wanted version is 2.38.5, and yet the mismatch column shows 'N/A' instead of 'True'.
There is a crc mismatch on the Expander Board Resume. This causes the update engine's firmware version check to fail.
Engineering has confirmed that CDES2 firmware version 2.13.0+0.11.0+21.00 is stable and field-approved. Version 2.38.5 is not a critical upgrade, so it is OK to continue to run the node with the current CDES2 firmware. If this is not acceptable, manual upgrade steps are available in the Internal Notes of this KB.
