The NetWorker solution is configured with the NetWorker 19.4.0.1 Virtual Edition (NVE) Appliance. The Server Protection Policy shows a traditional client workflow for the "NVE Server Backup" and the NVE client includes three directory savesets (/usr/local/avamar/var/avi/server_data, /usr/local/avamar/var/lockbox, /usr/local/avamar/lib/avi/avi_keystore). The NetWorker Management Console (NMC) restore wizard only shows the "/usr/local/avamar/lib/avi/avi_keystore" data available for restore and a command line recover only restored the "/usr/local/avamar/lib/avi/avi_keystore" file. The NVE Server Backup workflow is used to backup the critical components used by the NetWorker Installation Manager web page (https://NSR_IP/avi/avigui.html) to manage the NetWorker Virtual Edition appliance. The NetWorker Client saveset is protecting the symbolic links (/usr/local/avamar/var/ avi/server_data and /usr/local/avamar/var/var/lockbox) of the directory instead of the actual system directory (/space/avamar/var/avi/server_data and /space/avamar/var/lockbox).
The NVE Server Backup saveset changes are implemented into 19.5.0.7. NetWorker 19.4.x is end of support (EOSL) as of 11-30-2023.
