To alert customers, field service and the support community of issues and limitations with Dell supported Linux OS releases and Dell storage product PowerStore:1) Online device expansion with storage volumes provisioned through NVMe-FC is not supported - Dell EMC PowerPath software. 2) Frequent switch port flap with QLogic HBAs (Host Bus Adapters) may cause NVMe association loss and never come back without a reboot on RHEL8.x. This is going to be fixed in RHEL8.3. Refer to Red Hat Bugzilla 1827094 - https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1827094 3) For RHEL 8.x, the delayed NVMe association creation by lpfc is possible to cause issues on file system mounting and cluster starting on some setups. Refer to Red Hat Bugzilla 5995841 - https://access.redhat.com/solutions/59958414) Booting from Storage Area Network (SAN) NVMe-FC is not supported at this PowerStore OS 2.0 release. 5) Storage device fencing is not available for NVMe-FC devices on RHEL7.6 and later. Please use other fencing methods provided by Red Hat HA.
