This would make their removal impossible without specialty tools, that aren't available to our onsite engineers. Top Cover Removal Pre-Removal Instructions Before removing the Top Cover: During installation or removal of any hardware always ensure all data is backed up properly Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets Rotate the circular lock on the latch using a phillips screwdriver anti-clockwise to unlock it [1]. Pull the release latch up and towards the rear of the chassis [2] and slide the cover towards the rear of the chassis and lift it up and away [3]. Air Duct Removal Pre-Removal Instructions Before removing the Air Duct: During installation or removal of any hardware always ensure all data is backed up properly Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets Please remove the Cover Unroute the front panel cable. Lift the air duct up and away from the heat sink Expansion Card Removal Riser 1 Module RemovalRiser 1 Card RemovalRiser 2 Module Removal Pre-Removal Instructions Before removing the Riser 1 Module: During installation or removal of any hardware always ensure all data is backed up properly Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets Please remove the Cover Holiding the two blue lift points at either side of the riser, lift the riser up out of the system. Pull up on the release tab to open the riser 1 slots and lift the blank from the slots. Pre-Removal Instructions Before removing the Graphics Card: During installation or removal of any hardware always ensure all data is backed up properly Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets Please remove the Cover and Riser 1 module Check for any power cables from the card and disconnect any you see. Pull up on the release tab [1] and disconnect the retention clip at the rear of the card [2] and lift the card up and out of the riser [3]. Pre-Removal Instructions Before removing the Riser 2 Module: During installation or removal of any hardware always ensure all data is backed up properly Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets Please remove the Cover Locate the blue lift points on the riser 2 module and grabbing those points lift the module up and out of the system. Pull the blue release table open [1] to let you remove the blank from the slot [2]. Note: Some Expansion cards require extra power to run correctly, this is usually by means of an extra power or fan cable. Some types of graphics cards include a locking latch at the back of the card where is secures to the slot in the motherboard. Memory Removal Pre-Removal Instructions Before removing the Memory: During installation or removal of any hardware always ensure all data is backed up properly Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets Please remove the Cover and Air Duct Pull the securing clips away from the memory [1] and lift the memory up and out of the system. [2] Note: Repeat step 2 for any additional memory in the system. Storage Drive Removal Hard Disk Drive (HDD)HDD BackplanesPCIe M.2 Solid State Drive (SSD) Pre-Removal Instructions Before removing the Hard Disk Drive (HDD) Assembly: During installation or removal of any hardware always ensure all data is backed up properly Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets Push the release button on the front of the drive assembly [1] to open the release latch. Pull on the release latch [2] to unlock the drive and pull the assembly and drive out the front of the system [3]. To remove the driver from the assembly, remove the four (4) screws securing the side rails to the drive [1] and lift the drive out of the assembly [2]. Pre-Removal Instructions Before removing the HDD Backplanes: During installation or removal of any hardware always ensure all data is backed up properly Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets Please remove the Cover Disconnect the data [1] and power [2] cables from the left and right backplanes to the motherboard. Unroute the cable from the clips [3]. Loosen the one captive screw [1] holding the backplane to the chassis, and lift the backplane away from the system [2]. Repeat the previous steps for the right hand side backplane. Pre-Removal Instructions Before removing the M.2 PCIe Solid State Drive (SSD): During installation or removal of any hardware always ensure all data is backed up properly Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets Please remove the Cover Remove the single screw that secures the SSD card to the motherboard [1]. Lift and pull out the SSD card from its connector on the motherboard [2]. Remove the thermal pad [3]. System Fan Cage and Fan Removal Pre-Removal Instructions Before removing the Fan and System Fan Cage: During installation or removal of any hardware always ensure all data is backed up properly Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets Please remove the Cover and Air Duct Disconnect the fan cable from the Motherboard. Lift the fan straight up and out of the system. Having removed the fans, remove the two (2) screws securing the cage to the chassis [1] and slide the cage to the right until the retention clips unlock [2] and lift the cage out of the system. Power Supply Unit (PSU) Removal Pre-Removal Instructions Before removing the Power Supply Unit: During installation or removal of any hardware always ensure all data is backed up properly Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets Press the release latch on the PSU [1] and pull the PSU out the rear of the system [2]. Note: Repeat this step for any additional PSU's in the system. Remember when fitting a second PSU, you may need to remove a filler blank first. Ear Removal Pre-Removal Instructions Before removing the Ears: During installation or removal of any hardware always ensure all data is backed up properly Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets Remove the three (3) securing screws and slide the left hand side ear assembly out of the system [2]. Repeat the previous step for the right hand side ear assembly. Coin Cell Battery Removal Pre-Removal Instructions Before removing the Coin Cell Battery: During installation or removal of any hardware always ensure all data is backed up properly Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets Please remove the Cover Using a plastic scribe press the release latch away from the battery until the battery pops up from the socket [1]. Lift the battery out of the system. [2]
