Symptoms
The Dell ePSA diagnostics reports error code 2000-0620 when the network test is performed on a Precision Tower 3420. This occurs when AMT is enabled and there is no active network connection.
Cause
The ePSA diagnostics version in BIOS version 1.3.6 (and previous versions) of the Precision Tower 3420 BIOS falsely fails the network state test. When AMT is configured and there is no active network connection, the network connection test should be bypassed automatically.
Resolution
Dell has corrected this issue with an update to the ePSA diagnostics. To resolve this issue, go to Dell Support / Drivers & Downloads. Ensure that your Precision Tower 3420 computer is chosen, then select BIOS from the Category drop-down menu and download and install the most current BIOS available.
