Are you unable to dim the LCD brightness on your OptiPlex 7460 AIO? Are you unable to change the LCD Brightness on your OptiPlex 7460 All in One (AIO) desktop? Do your symptoms match those listed below? Symptoms: Cannot reduce LCD brightness from 100%.The windows brightness setting does not affect the LCD.There is no option in the BIOS to adjust the LCD brightness. Resolution

Please carry out the following steps: Update the systems BIOS: Go to the Dell Support Site. Enter the service tag or express service code to get drivers specific to how your computer shipped. Alternatively, you can choose the OptiPlex 7460 AIO from the product list to get a general list of drivers for that computer. Click the Drivers and Downloads drawer in the menu. Ensure you have the correct operating system set. Select BIOS from the Category dropdown. Locate the BIOS revision and ensure it is more recent than 1.5.3. Click the download link and follow the online instructions. NOTE: This causes your computer to restart as it flashes your BIOS with the Update. Please ensure you have the computer connected to a reliable power source during this. Enter the systems BIOS: (See Fig.1) Use the F2 boot on computer startup and browse to the System Configuration page. Ensure that the OSD button is enabled. Save and Exit the BIOS. (Fig.1 OSD Button) Restart your computer. Install the OSD application: Go back to the Dell Support Site. It should automatically bring up your computers page. Click the Drivers and Downloads drawer in the menu. Ensure you still have the correct operating system set. Select Application from the category dropdown. Locate the Dell On Screen Display application from the list. Click the download link and follow the online instructions. You can now adjust the LCD brightness from the OSD application in Windows.
