This would make their removal impossible without specialty tools, that are not available to our onsite engineers. System Cover Removal Pre-Removal Instructions Before removing the System Cover: During installation or removals of any hardware always ensure that all data is backed up properly. Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer. Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets. Put the system on its side with the access panel facing up, and loosen the two (2) captive screws on the back of the system [1]. Push the panel towards the rear of the system and lift it up and off the computer [2]. Front Bezel Removal Pre-Removal Instructions Before removing the Front Bezel: During installation or removals of any hardware always ensure that all data is backed up properly. Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer. Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets. Remove the System Cover. Pry up the three retention tabs along the left-hand side of the bezel [1]. Rotate the bezel to the right on the three hooks [2]. Pull the bezel off the front of the system [3]. Hard Disk Drive Removal Pre-Removal Instructions Before removing the Hard Disk Drive (HDD): During installation or removals of any hardware always ensure that all data is backed up properly. Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer. Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets. Remove the System Cover, and Front Bezel. 3.5" HDD2.5" HDD The 3.5" HDD is located at the top of the system in the swing out panel. Disconnect the power and data cables from the rear of the drive [1]. Remove the four (4) screws that secure the HDD to the swing out panel [2]. Open the swing out panel [3]. Pull the drive out the back of the PC. The 2.5" HDD is located at the bottom of the system in the swing out panel. Open the swing panel and disconnect the power and data cables from the rear of the drive [1]. Press the blue tabs on either side of the caddy together [2] and pull the drive out the back of the swing out panel [3]. Repeat steps 2 and 3 if a second 2.5" HDD is fitted. M.2 SSD Card Removal Pre-Removal Instructions Before removing the M.2 SSD Card: During installation or removals of any hardware always ensure that all data is backed up properly. Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer. Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets. Remove the System Cover, and Front Bezel. Open the swing panel, and the M.2 SSD card is located in front of the memory slots. Remove the screw holding the card down [1]. When the card pops up at an angle, pull the card out of the connector and out of the PC [2]. Optical Disk Drive Removal Pre-Removal Instructions Before removing the Optical Disc Drive (DVD/CD RW): During installation or removals of any hardware always ensure that all data is backed up properly. Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer. Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets. Remove the System Cover, and Front Bezel. The optical disc drive is located under the 3.5" HDD at the top of the swing out panel. Open the panel and remove the cables from the rear of the drive [1] and close the panel [2]. Squeeze the blue release tab at the rear of the drive [1]. Slide the drive out the front of the PC [2]. Expansion Card Removal Pre-Removal Instructions Before removing the Expansion Cards: During installation or removals of any hardware always ensure that all data is backed up properly. Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer. Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets. Remove the System Cover, and Front Bezel. The expansion slots are on the rear of the system, open the swing panel and using the blue tab unlock the option slots [1]. Check for a blue release tab at the back of the card. Push it aside if it is there [2] and lift the card up and out of the system [3]. Memory Removal Pre-Removal Instructions Before removing the Memory: During installation or removals of any hardware always ensure that all data is backed up properly. Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer. Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets. Remove the System Cover, and Front Bezel. The memory is located under the swing out panel and in front of the Heatsink. Pull the tabs on either side of the DIMM apart to release the memory DIMM [1]. Lift the DIMM up and out of the slot and the PC [3]. Note: Repeat Steps 2 and 3 for any additional Memory DIMMs located in the system. Coin Cell Battery Removal Pre-Removal Instructions Before removing the Coin Cell Battery: During installation or removals of any hardware always ensure that all data is backed up properly. Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer. Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets. Remove the System Cover, and Front Bezel. The coin cell battery is between the option slots and the heatsink. Lift the swing panel and press the release catch until the battery pops up [1]. Lift the battery from the connector and the PC [2]. Internal Speaker Removal Pre-Removal Instructions Before removing the Internal Speakers: During installation or removals of any hardware always ensure that all data is backed up properly. Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer. Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets. Remove the System Cover, and Front Bezel. The speaker is clipped to the swing out panel beside the 2.5" HDD bays, disconnect the cable from the motherboard [1]. Lift the securing tab on the speaker [2] and slide the speaker out of its slot [3]. Heatsink Fan Removal Pre-Removal Instructions Before removing the Intrusion Switch and Cable: During installation or removals of any hardware always ensure that all data is backed up properly. Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer. Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets. Remove the System Cover, and Front Bezel. The heatsink fan is located in the middle of the system under the swing out panel. Open the panel and disconnect the fan cable from the motherboard [1]. Remove the four (4) Torx screws from the top of the fan [2] and lift the fan out of the system [3]. Power Supply Unit Removal Pre-Removal Instructions Before removing the Power Supply Unit (PSU): During installation or removals of any hardware always ensure that all data is backed up properly. Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer. Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets. Remove the System Cover, and Front Bezel. The PSU is located in the bottom of the PC under the swing open panel. Open the swing panel and disconnect the power cables from the motherboard [1,6]. Unroute the PSU cable from the retention hooks [2,3,4,5]. Remove the three (3) screws securing the PSU to the back of the chassis [1]. Press the blue release tab in front of the PSU [2] and slide and lift the PSU up and out of the system [3].
