Resolution
Self-Encrypting Drive or Hardware Crypto-Accelerator and SmartCard: no valid method error at PBA
After configuring HCA or SED with smart card PBA authentication, the end user cannot authenticate successfully with the following error in the PBA logs:
CredException: User::Authenticate() - invalid method is used (Error code: 0)
Regenerating the domain controller Authentication certificate on the domain controller fixes this issue. This certificate is required for smart card log in authentication.
