There are two variants of the AE515 soundbar: The Dell AE515 soundbar attaches to the bottom of certain Dell LCD monitors (Figure 1). Align the tabs on the soundbar to the slots on the monitor base. Slide the soundbar to the right to secure the soundbar onto the monitor base (Figure 3). Figure 3 AE515M:The following instructions can be used to install the soundbar on a Dell compatible monitor. Pull the bracket's clamp (Figure 4). Note: Use the thick rubber cushion between the bracket and the nonswivel base monitor stand. Figure 4 Secure the bracket to the monitor stand (Figure 5). Figure 5 Push the bracket down to align it with the stand base. Align the tabs on the soundbar with the slots on the bracket. Slide the soundbar to the right to secure the soundbar to the bracket (Figure 6). Back to Top Troubleshooting The following can be used to troubleshoot various issues with the AE515 and AE515M soundbars. Check if the audio line-in cable is inserted in the soundbar line-in port.Disconnect the line-in cable from the line-in jack and insert the cable again.Check if the audio source is turned on.Ensure that the audio device volume is not set to 0%.Try a known good speaker or audio source. Abnormal SoundDistorted or buzzing sound. Clear any obstructions between the soundbar and yourself.Ensure that the line-in cable is inserted into the line-in port of the audio source.Decrease the volume of the audio source.Turn the volume level to a lower setting on the soundbar.Test the soundbar using another audio source. Unbalanced Sound OutputSound is coming from only one side of the soundbar. Clear any obstructions between the soundbar and yourself.Ensure that the line-in cable is inserted into the line-in port of the soundbar or audio source.Set the Windows audio balance controls to the center.Clean and reconnect all audio cables.Test the soundbar using another audio source. Low VolumeVolume is too low. Ensure that the computer audio source volume is not set to 0%.Increase the volume of the soundbar.Press the default playback function button on the soundbar. Headphone Abnormal SoundAudio distortion. Check if the headphone plug is properly inserted into the soundbar headphone port.Check if the headphone plug has an intermittent connection.Check if the audio source is distorted when playing without the headphone.
