Symptom
A Catalyst 9K switch may reload unexpectedly and report a last reload reason of a critical process fault for either sif_mgr or fed.

Further Problem Description
This issue is currently under investigation.
The crash occurs after the switch's ASIC tries, and fails, to either read or write a pointer multiple times. The system then intentionally crashes in an attempt to recover.
