Symptom
[+] The site was working before just fine. Just few TLOCs were installed.
[+] We see BFD sessions are up towards different branch sites.
[+] Set "On-demand Tunnel Idle Timeout" at 2 min does not make a difference.
[+] If we check the OMP routes with "show sdwan omp routes vpn x detail" we could see that the attribute IA [On-demand] it's not present.
[+] Clear OMP routes does not fix the problem.
Conditions
cEdge - 17.6.4
vSmart - 20.6.4
[+] A cEdge configured with OnDemand routes install all TLOCs without traffic passing trough.
Workaround
Reload the router.
Change Site-ID of affected router.
Further Problem Description
[+] I checked the centralized policy and looks correct. Sequence 21 has the backup path configuration. But we may need to revisited to be sure that the site ID 300600200 and System IP - 10.224.2.244 will be hitting this policy.
[+] The strange behavior it's that, the OMP routes seen under this cEdge [CGD600200EROT0A], does not have the IA [OnDemand Route] atribute.
** If we check the "show sdwan omp routes vpn x " we could see routes installed, but none of them shows the IA atrribute and we should see.
** Checked other working site, and DO see this attribute present.
[+] When issue the command ?show sdwan system on-demand remote? we saw that the TLOCs status are ?not-on-demand?, but the running configuration shows that cEdge it's configured as OnDemand.
** PER DOCUMENTATION, since the cEdge it's configured with the feature OnDemand, IT SHOULD NOT BUILD bfd sessions with other systems that does not have OnDemand enable.
** Since all the devices are configured with OnDemand tunnels, this explains why the OMP TLOCS, routes and BFD sessions are installed
** But it's really strange that when we check the OnDemand tunnels, none of them looks like active [show sdwan system on-demand], but all BFD sessions are UP.
**We checked the flows using SEAE [cflowd] an there is no traffic for these tunnels, no traffic passing through, so it seems that the cEdge just install all TLOCs without any traffic passing through.
** Seems like the IA attribute not present has something to do with this buggy behavior.
