Symptom
An IOS XE Router may experience a Critical Software Exception resulting in a reset of the system. The following will be present in the 'show version'
System returned to ROM by Critical software exception
There will also be system-report files generated in the flash/harddisk/bootflash.
Conditions
This issue occurs while processing IPC communications. These messages are internal to the system.
Workaround
There is no known workaround at this time.
Further Problem Description
Gather the system report files and contact TAC.
