Symptom
- In L2VPN VPLS scenario, when E-LMI frames are received on the interface where E-LMI feature is not enabled frames are getting punted
- Ideally these frames should be forwarded and not punted as E-LMI is not configured
- This is breaking L2VPN VPLS transparency
- Whereas for L2VPN VPWS frames are getting forwarded without any issue
- This is applicable to Lightspeed & Lightspeed+ LC's/Chassis
Conditions
- E-LMI frames with a protocol field of 0x88ee
- L2VPN VPLS feature
- ELMI feature not enabled on interface
