Symptom
In pre-20.9 vManage it is possible to enable only the cloud services from the Administration > Settings > Cloud Services page without enabling vMonitoring or vAnalytics.
For any vManage where this has been done, and without all proper licenses applied, the alarm "Analytics is enabled but relevant license is not present" will be displayed once either every 10 minutes or 24 hours starting from around the time of the upgrade completion.
We can confirm vAnalytics is not enabled by checking the Administration > Settings > Cloud Services page.
It can also be checked to see if vMonitoring is enabled also by checking in the browser developer tools by inspecting the response for the "cloudservices" API. Use the word "cloudservices" to filter in the network tab.
Conditions
1. Cloud Services enabled from Administration > Settings page in vManage pre-20.9
2. vAnalytics not enabled.
3. Upgrade completed to 20.9 vManage
Workaround
If vMonitoring and vAnalytics are not being used, the issue can be solved by opening a TAC case to have a TAC engineer disable this feature completely.
If vMonitoring is being used and vAnalytics is not, the issue can be solved by upgrading to a fixed release.
