Symptom
Action Queue table fills up with NMAP Remediation scan tasks in pending/waiting state. These tasks remain in this state due to a failure in NMAP scan.
Conditions
NMAP Remediation is triggered either via correlation policy / scheduled task.
Workaround
Clear the stuck NMAP Remediation tasks from the action queue table
Further Problem Description
We observed that if NMAP scan is not completed, then the tasks added in action queue table remain in pending / waiting state forever and does not clear out. Due to this the number of entries in action queue table increases by a large factor which eventually stops accepting new tasks creating numerous other problems associated with action queue tasks.
