Symptom
An IOS XE router or switch may experience an unexpected reset
UNIX-EXT-SIGNAL: Segmentation fault(11), Process = MFIB_rate
Conditions
The device has Extranet Multicast enabled, and is running a large amount of Multicast traffic at the time. This crash occurs only when Extranet Multicast is used

Otherwise this crash will not occur
In particular you need the following route-replicate as below between two or more VRFs and ip multicast-routing MUST be enabled on all of them.
route-replicate from vrf unicast all route-map
If the above configuration is not present, this bug will not apply.
Workaround
There is no known workaround.
Further Problem Description
In addition to the "linux_iosd" core files, some crashinfo data may be visible on the console during the reset, seeing a crash in the "MFIB_rate" process.
