Symptom
FMC backup restore fails and FMC becomes not usable.
The last line of /var/log/restore.log contains ([abcd] will be a different 4-character sequence):

moving files from "//var/tmp/backup[abcd]" to /
---
Conditions
FMC backup collected on the device with symbolic link created as a workaround described in FN https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/field-notices/725/fn72501.html
