Symptom
ISSU upgrade failing with message:
Error: FAILED: install_add : Install ISSU in progress. Abort the ISSU upgrade to proceed
Conditions
this occurs when in the past ISSU had failed or it was not completed. One of the WLCs may still have a flag file in the bootflash, and until that file is there it won' allow you to do a new upgrade
example flag file:
2475 5 Nov 26 2022 10:37:56.0000000000 +00:00 .installer/install_issu_state
Workaround
to clear the flag files you should do:
conf t
service internal
end
clear install state

the goal of this defect is to add extra line of messages in the error, so that the user is aware of how to proceed
