Symptom

* SFPs that were working in the C9500 on 16.9.5 will not show up in 'show inventory' when the device boots 17.3.5 or 17.6.3.

Conditions

The behavior has been observed on the following SFPs but could affect more. GLC-LH-SMD V01 & V02 GLC-TE V02 QSFP-40G-LR4-S V01 QSFP-40G-SR-BD V02 SFP-10G-LR-S V01 SFP-10G-SR-S V01

Workaround

* An OIR of the SFP will allow it to be recognized. * Rolling back to 16.9.5 restores the SFPs.
