Symptom
Catalyst 9500 switch in a stackwise configuration reloads unexpectedly, leading to a switchover.
Users may see a reload reason of "Critical software exception" for the affected switch in the show logging onboard switch RP active uptime detail output along with the presence of a system-report containing a FED core file.

The unexpected reload occurs when the system is pulling information on certain ports, but there are no specific triggers identified.
