Symptom
N7K running code revisions 8.2.X cannot configure the following multicast load balancing algorithm:
"ip multicast multipath s-g-hash next-hop-based"
CLI options show:
#Hostname(config)ip multicast multipath ?
legacy Configure hash based on source and group
nbm Configure NBM controlled RPF interface
none Disable ECMP multicast load splitting
8.4(6a)
#Hostname(config)# ip multicast multipath ?
none Disable ECMP multicast load splitting
resilient Configure resilient RPF interface
s-g-hash Configure hash based on source and group address
Conditions
1. N7K with 8.2.X release.
2. Attempt to configure:
ip multicast multipath s-g-hash next-hop-based
Workaround
This is the default on 8.2.X, so the workaround is not to configure this.
