Symptom
When connecting directly to a Gen-2 appliance (Cisco part number PI-UCS-APL-K9 or PI-UCS-APL-K9=) through a serial console connection, if the baud rate of the serial port of the appliance is set to 115200, and the PC terminal application (TeraTerm, etc.) is set to 115200, the screen cannot be displayed, but can be displayed remotely, and there is no problem if the baud rate is set to 9600 on the PC terminal.
Conditions
This was observed connecting a terminal session to the console port of an appliance running Prime Infrastructure 3.9.
Workaround
To workaround this issue physically connect to the console on the server using the serial port on the server. The baud rate should be 9600 while connecting to the console using the serial port.
