fault F1321 is raised and cleared repeatedly "show environment" shows all fans status OK. 'vsh -c "show logging onboard internal pfmclnt"' has messages indicating fans detected in both directions.

The following reassignment of fault severity can be used as a workaround when integrating with 3rd party monitoring system. The idea is that syslog monitoring would not flag Warning severity, and only flag Major severity. By performing below workaround, fan tray fault would only be flagged in 3rd party monitoring if it is legitimate and the fault gets raised from Warning to Major. --- Basically, if the below configuration is applied, the following would occur: 1. Upon fan tray failure/removal, a warning will be soaking for 5 minutes. 2. If after the 5 minutes, the fault (warning) didn't clear itself (false alarm), the fault will move in major severity indicating a proper failure of the fan. * In summary, if you see any major faults around fan tray, you know it is a proper failure and not a false alarm. Configuration to be performed: 1) Fault severity Assignment: Fabric > Fabric Policies > Policies > Monitoring > default > Fault Severity Assignment Policies > eqpt.FtSlot > F1323 > Initial Severity > "warning". Fabric > Fabric Policies > Policies > Monitoring > default > Fault Severity Assignment Policies > eqpt.FtSlot > F1323 > Target Severity > "major". Fabric > Fabric Policies > Policies > Monitoring > default > Fault Severity Assignment Policies > eqpt.Fan > F1322 > Initial Severity > "warning". Fabric > Fabric Policies > Policies > Monitoring > default > Fault Severity Assignment Policies > eqpt.Fan > F1322 > Target Severity > "major". Fabric > Fabric Policies > Policies > Monitoring > default > Fault Severity Assignment Policies > eqpt.Ft > F1321 > Initial Severity > "warning". Fabric > Fabric Policies > Policies > Monitoring > default > Fault Severity Assignment Policies > eqpt.Ft > F1321 > Target Severity > "major". 2) Fault Lifecycle Policies: Fabric > Fabric Policies > Policies > Monitoring > default > Fault Lifecycle Policies > eqpt.FtSlot > F1323 >Intervals: Clearing=0, Retention=120, Soaking=300 Fabric > Fabric Policies > Policies > Monitoring > default > Fault Lifecycle Policies > eqpt.Fan > F1322 >Intervals: Clearing=0, Retention=120, Soaking=300 Fabric > Fabric Policies > Policies > Monitoring > default > Fault Lifecycle Policies > eqpt.Ft > F1321 >Intervals: Clearing=0, Retention=120, Soaking=300
