Symptom
Registration of FTD to FMC will fail out, with a error message of the below in FMC's ActionQue logs:
ACTQ: 05-27 19:51:49 ActionQueueScrape.pl[13234]: Error registering device vFTD-4 : Active peer already exists: 10.11.74.24,admin,10.11.74.24 at /usr/local/sf/lib/perl/5.24.4/SF/PeerManager/PeerInfoCached.pm line 327.
ACTQ: 05-27 19:51:49 ActionQueueScrape.pl[13234]: Caught fatal exception in pre_process from SF::PeerManager::RegistrationCL::registerPeerLight: Error registering device vFTD-4 : Duplicate Device name or uuid was detected at /usr/local/sf/lib/perl/5.24.4/SF/PeerManager/RegistrationCL.pm line 620.
FTD logs will report something like:
Successfully connected using SSL to: '(FMC IP Address)
ConnectToServer connected Peer TLS with version is [TLSv1.2]
VerifyConnect:Failed to authenticate or to be authenticated by peer '(FMC IP Address)
Conditions
FTD was previously registered to the FMC
