Symptom
DCNM shows the message "Command failed: Invocation failed; nested exception is: javax.ejb.EJBException: java.lang.NullPointerException" upon applying and testing Call Home configuration.
Conditions
Either upgrade to 11.5.4 or a fresh deployment of DCNM 11.5.4
Workaround
The workaround for now is, after configured Call home, press ?Apply? button instead of ?Apply and Test?. Then generate a trap from switch using CLI command. This way user can test if they received the Call home email or not. The CLI command to test Call home is:
MDS-switch# test pfm snmp test-trap fan
