Symptom
Smart licensing is not reporting license consumption.
When Essential license is disabled on ISe licensing portal.8
Conditions
ISE 3.0 patch 4
Customer only has Advantqge License bought.
Workaround
Enable back the Essential license from the licensing page. This would report the license consumption on the CSSM.
Further Problem Description
With the new licensing scheme
The licenses are nested. This means that advantage license includes essential license.
When registering ISE to the smart licensing portal, if you disable the essential feature, if you got endpoints authenticating with essental features, even though ISE is reporting license consumption at the licensing page.
On smart licensing portal doesn't "borrow the advantage license to be used, smart licensing portal doesnt report license consumption.
