Symptom
An IOS-XE Router with a C-SM-16P4M2X or C-SM-40P8M2X module is unable to provide power over ethernet (POE) starting in 17.6.1.
Conditions
POE is not provided
Workaround
If upgrading to a fixed image is not feasible, you can downgrade to a release prior to 17.6.1.
Further Problem Description
I have been seeing PSE interrupts printing for the hw-module continuously. Please refer to hw-module_logs_17.6 file attached in the bug.
Please refer the attached file "POE_issue_8300_recreate" to check it was not working on 17.6.1 and then once the router was booted with 17.3.3, the AP and ip phone started drawing the power from the module.
I have attached tech_support from both 17.3.3 and 17..6.1 router both in the bug for your review.
Also, I have the repro device available in calo for you to have a look.
