Symptom
Catalyst 8000 Edge platform getting stuck during the boot process.
Error on the console:
%ERROR: - Platform Library device open failed
IsSecChipGen3():555 - TAM Status TAM_LIB_ERR_WRITE_FAILURE (FD)
Workaround
Perform a manual power cycle.
Typically a single power cycle should be enough but if it doesn't help bring the router back online there might be another power cycle required.

The software fix for C8200/C8300 platforms is implemented in ROMMON version 17.6(6r) which is going to be integrated in 17.6.6, 17.9.4, 17.12.1 and newer IOSXE versions.
